Will the cars of the future move like fish? Well, with the direction that the engineers at Nissan are taking, who knows? The latest development shows Eporo, a mini robotic car that is designed to move in a group by sharing its position and other data, and the design was inspired by the way fish move in schools. Using laser range finders and ultra-wideband radio to determine distance to obstacles, they are well designed to stay out

of accidents with one another or obstacles. In case you were curious, “Eporo” stands for “Episode 0 Robot”, indicating zero accidents and zero emissions. Nissan will be showing off that baby at the Ceatec trade show next week in Tokyo, so stay tuned!
