Apple to refund ALL iPad rush shipping charges

March 31, 2010 · Print This Article

Apple has a conscience after all, having decided to refund ALL rush shipping charges connected to iPad pre-orders, which is fine and dandy considering the fruity company originally charged $12 for same delivery day as free shipping. No concept on why rush shipping was put on the table initially since all pre-orders were to come with delivery on launch day, but it does go to show that some folks out there do miss out on the fine print sometimes, since they decided to pay $12 anyways. Here’s their newsletter concerning the refund.

To Our Valued Apple Customer:

Thank you for your recent Apple iPad purchase.

Our

records indicate that when you placed your iPad pre-order, you chose to pay for expedited shipping.

Expedited shipping is not essential to ensure delivery. Apple has processed a refund for the shipping charge on your order. Please contact your card-issuing bank for knowledge on when the credit will be posted to your history.

Your iPad will deliver on April 3rd in the areas where UPS offers Saturday delivery.

Sincerely, The Apple Store Team
